Commissioning
Voltage
The motors of the vacuum pump are designed to be used with an
operating voltage of +/- 10% of the normal rating.
Please check that the voltage and frequency match the values indicated
on the rating plate. Before connecting the pump to the power supply,
ensure that the switch is set to OFF.
The vacuum pump should only be operated on a fused
power supply.
Before using the vacuum pump
The vacuum pump is delivered without any oil in the reservoir. Before
initial commissioning, it must therefore be filled with oil supplied.
1. Unscrew the oil fill cap.
2. Fill the oil up to the lower edge of the sight glass with the vacuum
pump in a horizontal position. The exact amount of oil is specified
in the technical data.
3. Screw the oil fill cap back on.
4. Remove the cap from the intake port to open it.
5. Turn on the pump.
6. Once the pump is running smoothly (this can take between 2 to 30
seconds depending on the ambient temperature), place the cap
back on the intake port.
7. After approximately 1 minute of operation, check the oil level at the
sight glass.
8. The oil level should be at the marking line. If necessary, add more
oil.
