Solution
It is not a fault. Shortly after we start the appliance, both the
smoke and the smell will disappear.
The appliance may not be plugged in. Check that the plug is
properly connected to the socket.
You must check the glue bar diameter is appropriate.
Check the bar has enough glue.
Place a new glue stick. Only use appropriate glue sticks,
following the technical details.
You must check the glue stick diameter is appropriate.
Make sure the appliance has reached its optimum heating
temperature before using it. Allow the appliance to
completely heat up. Press the trigger slowly and evenly.
It may occur that the glue bar diameter is too small or the
glue bar melting temperature is too low.
There are dust, dirt or grease remains on the surface. Clean
and/or carefully sand the surfaces to be glued.
The material to be glued is not suitable for hot melt glue. Use
special glue bars
Check the glue has not cooled down before pressing the
pieces. Press the pieces to be glued immediately.
You can heat the materials that cool down quickly with a hot
air gun.
You can apply glue in dots.
You must not hold the trigger down after gluing. You must
release the trigger in due time.
Scrape the nozzle when you lift the piece.
Moisture makes leather swell. Use special glue sticks.
