Operating instructions SATA air check set
2.1. Requirements regarding personnel
The air check set may only be used by experienced skilled workers and
instructed persons who have thoroughly read and understood these oper-
ating instructions. People whose reactions have been adversely affected
by drugs, alcohol, medication or by any other means are prohibited from
handling the air check set.
2.2. Personal Protection Equipment
Always use approved breathing, hearing and eye protection, suitable pro-
tective gloves, workwear and safety boots when using the air check set
and during cleaning and maintenance work.
2.3. Safety Instructions
Danger!
Danger to life from explosion
The air check set can act as a source of ignition in potentially explosive
atmosphere of ex-zone 0 and trigger an explosion.
→ Never bring the air check set into potentially explosive atmospheres
of ex-zone 0.
The air check set is approved for use/storage in explosive atmospheres of
ex-zone 1 and 2. The product labelling must be adhered to.
Technical status
■ Never start using the air check set when damaged or when parts are
missing.
■ If the air check set is damaged, stop working with it immediately,
disconnect it from the compressed air supply system and vent the unit
completely.
■ Never make any unauthorised modifications or technical changes to the
air check set.
■ Every time before using the air check set, check the unit with all
connected components for any signs of damage and ensure it is fitted
firmly; carry out any necessary repairs.
Operating parameters
■ The air check set may only be operated with the stated parameters (see
chapter 7).
Connected components
■ Only use original SATA accessories and spare parts.
■ The connected hoses and lines must reliably withstand the thermal,
