❐ We recommend using destilled water for steam ironing. Certainly, you can also use
normal tap water for steam ironing. In this case, however, we recommend descaling
the device regularly, in order to guarantee a faultless function of the device (see
chapter „Descaling").
❐ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note Max marking on the measuring cup that
is also supplied!). If possible, only fi ll the device with distilled water.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power.
4. Close the water reservoir by folding the cover shut again. Make sure that the water
reservoir is completely sealed shut.
5. To empty the water reservoir, open the cover of the water reservoir and turn the
device upside down. This will allow the remaining water to run out of the reservoir.

Ironing Recommendations

The temperature levels are continously adjustable beween the positions Min and
Max wiht the help of the temperature control. We recommend the following adjust-
ments for synthetic fi bres, silk, wool, cotton and linen:
Level Min to •
Level • to ••
Level •• to ••• Max
Delicate items of clothing should be ironed inside out to preserve the material.
Although the device can also be used on delicate fabrics such as silk or wool, you
should read the care instructions for the textile to be ironed before you use the de-
vice. Some fabrics such as leather, suede and velvet must not be ironed!
We recommend that you sort the garments on the basis of the temperature they
need to be ironed at and that you start with the items which require the lowest tem-
perature. Otherwise, wait a few minutes when you adjust the device from a high
temperature to a lower level before you continue ironing.
For best results, we recommend setting the temperature control on the temperature
levels •• and higher, when using the steam irong function. Thus, the the steam is ad-
ditionally heated via the hot ironing plate.
2. Open the water reservoir by opening up the cover of the
water reservoir. Please note that the cover cannot be com-
pletely detached from the device.
3. Place the device horizontally on a plane surface and use
the measuring cup that is supplied to pour water at room
temperature into the water reservoir. Do not overfi ll the de-
vice. Note the Max marking on the measuring cup. The
device can be operated using normal tap water, but we
recommend that you use distilled water.
