The device should always be unplugged from the power supply if
it is not supervised and before assembly, disassembly or clean-
ing and before you fi ll or empty the water tank.
For your own safety, always check the device for damages prior
to using it. Only use the device if the device, mains cord and the
plug do not exhibit any damages!
If the device, the adapter, the connecting cable or the plug of the
device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
customer service department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e. g.
specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

Risks of injury

ATTENTION! Improper use of the device may result in injury, scalding, and
electrical shocks.
ATTENTION! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from chil-
dren and animals.
ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! Never touch the device's cleaning head / the acces-
sories while in operation! Keep at least 30 cm away. Wear shoes when cleaning
fl oors.
ATTENTION! Tripping hazard! When using the device, lay the mains cable so that
there is no risk of anyone catching themselves on it.
ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! The accessories may be very hot during and shortly
after use. For this reason, wait a few minutes for them to cool off completely before
you remove them.
ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! Let the device and accessories cool off completely
before you clean it, disassemble and / or store it.

Danger of Electric Shock and Fire

In the event of damage / malfunctions, turn off the device immediately.
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety
contacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical
data is the same as that of the device.
Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does
not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Never touch the device, mains cable or plug with wet hands when these components
are connected to the mains power.
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket before a thun-
derstorm.
If you would like to remove the mains plug from the socket, do not pull on the power
cable, but always on the plug.
