• Do not use this appliance for functions other than those described in this booklet.
• Do not make modifications of any kind to this appliance.
• Certain fundamental rules must be observed when using any electrical appliance:
- never touch appliances with wet or damp hands;
- never touch appliances while barefoot;
- do not allow the unit to be operated by unsupervised children or disabled persons.
• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer a heavy blow, have it checked immediately by VORTICE.
• The appliance must be connected to an efficient earthing system.

Specific warnings

• Insert the power cord only into a grounded 220-240V - 50/60Hz socket.
• Unplug the unit form the socket when it's not being used. Do not pull the cord.
• Make sure there are no objects nearby the fan which can block the oscillation.
• Never insert fingers or other objects into the unit if the power cord is plugged, and the unit in operation.
• Make sure there are no curtains, table cloth, hairs etc... next to the device. They could be sucked into the
opening of the fan and can lead to damage or injury.
• Do not use the device if the power cord is damaged, contact authorised VORTICE Service Centre.
• Do not use the unit outdoor.
• Do not use the unit where it could be splashed with water or other liquids.
• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
• Do not use the unit near bath, shower or swimming pools.
• Do not use the device with another semi-conductors speed controller.
• The fan should stand upright during operation and never lying on the side.
• Do not use the unit near flammable or explosive gases.
• Before cleaning the unit, switch it off and unplug the power cord.
• Do not leave the unit unattended during operation.
• You should never repair the device by yourself. Please contact authorised VORTICE Service Centre.
• In case of a breakdown turn off the unit, unplug it and contact authorised VORTICE Service Centre.

Installation

- Place the fan on a flat and firm area.
- Connect the power cable in the power connector shown in the following picturres.
- Plug the power plug into the electrical socket and press ON/OFF.
