OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

Button(s)
Description
The preamplifier is switched on and off using this button at the front panel.
It has no standby option. When switched off the device is internally separa-
ted from the AC power. As a precaution, after switching on, the volume set-

ting of the preamplifier should be reduced. After switching on, the device
needs up to 30 seconds before it is ready to operate. Meanwhile, the LED
in the speaker's knob (2) will be blinking. During power-on mode, one of
the LED for the input selection (1) will be lighted.
At the front panel: If you turn the dial "INPUT", you select one of the devi-
ces connected to the inputs on the back of the SA-T8 (6) for playback.

Using the remote control: A short touch on the button for the desired input
channel (e.g. "S1") changes to the playback of the audio source connec-

The LED associated to the selected input channel will be illuminated at the
front of the appliance. Before switching over the input channel, the volume
(2)(13) should be turned down as a precaution!
At the front panel: Turn the knob "VOLUME" clockwise to turn up the volume
and counter-clockwise to turn it down.

The volume setting does never influence the signal at the output

The MUTE function can be activated or deactivated at the front panel as
well as with the remote control. It switches off the preamplifier output "OUT-
