General w arnings
WARNING
Any change or m odification to the product is not expressly approved by ResM ed and could void
the user' s authority to operate the device.
Supplem ental oxygen m ust not be used w hile sm oking or in the presence of an open flam e.
When using the device w ith an oxygen supply, check the follow ing:
Starting therapy – ensure the device is on and blow ing air before the oxygen supply is turned
on.
Stopping therapy – ensure the oxygen supply is turned off first, then the device.
This w ill ensure oxygen does not accum ulate w ithin the device and create a risk of fire.
The device has not been tested or certified for use in the vicinity of X-ray, CT or MRI equipm ent.
Do not bring the device w ithin 13 ft (4 m ) of X-ray or CT equipm ent. Never bring the device into
an M R (M agnetic Resonance) environm ent.
The device should not be used adjacent to or stacked w ith other equipm ent. If adjacent or
stacked use is necessary, the device should be observed to verify norm al operation in the
configuration in w hich it w ill be used.
The use of accessories other than those specified for the device is not recomm ended. These m ay
increase radio frequency energy or be influenced by the interference and result in im proper
operation.
Portable RF com m unications equipm ent (including peripherals such as antenna cables and
external antennas) should be used no closer than 3.9" (10 cm ) to an y part of th e device.
Otherw ise, degradation of the perform ance of this equipm ent could result.
For any serious incidents that occur in relation to this device, these should be reported to ResM ed and the
competent authority in your country.
