Cleaning and caring for t he device
WARNING
Bew are of electrocution:
Do not im m erse the device, AC Adaptor or pow er cord in w ater.
Do not connect to pow er w hile the device is w et. M ake sure that all parts are dry before
plugging it in.
If liquids are spilled into or onto the device, unplug the device and let the parts dry.
Alw ays unplug the device before cleaning and ensure that all parts are dry before plugging it
back in.
Do not perform any m aintenance tasks (eg, cleaning, changing the air filter) w hile the device is in
operation.
Clean the device and its com ponents according to the schedules show n in this guide, to maintain
the quality of the device and to prevent the grow th of germ s that can adversely affect your
health.
Regularly inspect pow er cords, cables, and pow er supply for damage or signs of w ear.
Discontinue use and replace if dam aged.
Do not open or m odify the device. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Repairs and
servicing should only be perform ed by an au thorized ResM ed service agent.
CAUTION
Do not use bleach, chlorine, or arom atic-based solutions, m oisturizing or antibacterial soaps or
scented oils to clean the device, the hum idifier tub or air tubing. These solutions m ay cause
dam age or affect the hum idifier perform ance and reduce the life of the products. Exposure to
sm oke, including cigarette, cigar or pipe sm oke, as w ell as ozone or other gases, m ay dam age
the device. Dam age caused by any of the foregoing, w ill not be covered by ResM ed' s lim ited
