PROPER / IMPROPER USE:
Pole pruner ITKS 800
The pole pruner is designed exclusively to cut trees and / or other wood from ground level. Any other use is improper
use.
The following also comprises proper use: reading and adhering to the operating instructions before and during each
use, as well as adhering to the warning information affixed to the machine. Before and during use, the pole pruner must
be inspected for mechanical damage. If repairs are required, contact your specialist dealer.
Only original spare parts, or those approved by the manufacturer, may be used.
If you use non-approved or non-original spare parts and personal injuries or damage to property occurs as a result of
this, the operator is liable and not the manufacturer.
The pole pruner may only be used in an outdoor garden area.
Residual hazards
Even if the pole pruner is used properly, a residual risk, which cannot be eliminated, always remains. Due to the nature
and construction of the pole pruner, the following potential injuries may arise depending on the assignment and use:
- Coming into contact with flying sawdust
- Inhaling sawdust particles
- Inhaling oil particles
- Skin contact with oil
- Coming into contact with saw chain parts
- Cutting fingers on the saw chain
- Coming into contact with live parts (defective power cable)

INTENDED USE:

(Hedge trimmer ITHS 800)
This hedge trimmer is only intended to be used to trim shrubs, bushes, ornamental plants and hedges. It is designed
to cut branches with a diameter of no more than 18 mm. The hedge trimmer is not intended for commercial use. The
user of the hedge trimmer must make sure that the protective equipment specified in the operating instructions and by
the warning label on the trimmer is attached whenever the trimmer is in use. The hedge trimmer must be checked for
electrical or mechanical damage before it is used or while it is being used.
Stop working and contact a specialist workshop if you find any damage.
Improper use
Any use not identified in the chapter „Intended use" is an improper use.
The user of the hedge trimmer is solely liable for any property damage or personal injury arising from improper use of
the hedge trimmer.
The manufacturer's obligation to honour the warranty is voided if the hedge trimmer is used with non-original parts.
Residual dangers
Residual risks always remain even if the hedge trimmer is used properly. The hedge trimmer's design can entail the
following hazards:
• Contact can be made with the unprotected blade (resulting in cutting injuries)
• Reaching into or grabbing the hedge trimmer while it is in operation (resulting in cutting injuries)
• Unanticipated, sudden movement of the plant material being cut (resulting in cutting injuries)
• Ejection or catapulting of damaged cutting teeth
• Ejection or catapulting of the plant material being cut
• Hearing damage if the specified hearing protection is not worn
• Inhalation of cut materials
