5.2- Application conditions
This log cutting saw is a home use model intended for outdoor use.
It is designed for operating under ambient temperatures between +5°C and 40°C and for installation at
altitudes no more than 1000m above M.S.L.
The surrounding humidity should less than 50% at 40°C.
It can be stored or transported under ambient temperatures between -20°C and 55°C, max humidity 80%.
5.3- Before operating the log cutting saw
1. Familiarize yourself with the controls and features of the log cutting saw (refer to the illustrations).
2. Before connecting the machine,
- Ensure that the machine is not damaged and that all screws are properly tightened.
- Ensure that the power cable is not damaged, and is positioned away from the blade rotation and does
not hinder the work.
- Control the machine so that there are no foreign objects that could be thrown out when switching on
the machine.
- Always position yourself so as not to be in the projection line of the tool and ensure that no object,
that the machine could grad, is nearby.
3. Plan your work site.
Work safely and save effort by planning your work beforehand.
Have your logs / wood ready to cut positioned tidily where they can be easily reached.
Have a site located to stack the cut wood or load it onto a nearby truck or other carrier.
4. Route the power cord.
Route the power cord from the power source to the log saw in a way that safeguards against tripping
on the cord, or the cord becoming damaged during the work session.
Protect the power cord from impacts, pulling or corrosive materials.
5. Reminder: The log saw is strictly designed for one-man operation.
5.4- Placing the log on the log table (rocker stand)
Prepare the wood to be cut.
Put the wood on the table (rocker stand) so as not to endanger you (e.g. tripping hazard).
If the piece of wood is longer than the table, support it with the log support or with a log trestle for
example. The log support length can be adjusted through the knobs.
Note: do not pull the extension rod out of its guiding rail/bracket.
5.5- Starting the log cutting saw
Press on switch to start the motor.
Ensure that the saw blade rotates freely.
Never use the machine if the ON/OFF switch is not working properly.
Immediately have any damaged switch repaired or replaced by qualified personnel to avoid a danger.
5.6- Operating the log cutting saw
- Hold the handle with both hands, support the cradle on your thigh and push it slowly and evenly
towards the saw blade, thus the saw blade is revealed.
- Push the rocker table/cradle evenly to ensure the engine speed does not drop.
- Remove the sawn wood from the rocker table before putting on the next piece.
Note - Pressing the cradle forward releases the blade guard which after cutting will return to its initial
