Connection for TIG welding
- Connect (5) the earth clamp to the positive socket (+) (6)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the TIG torch coupling (7) to the torch socket (-) (8)
ofthe power source.
- Separately connect the torch gas hose connector (9) to the
gas main.
The protection gas flow can be adjusted using
the tap normally found on the torch.
3 SYSTEM PRESENTATION
3.1 General
These constant current inverter power sources are able to per-
form the following types of welding with excellent results:
- MMA,
- TIG with contact ignition with reduction of short circuit cur-
rent (TIG LIFT-START).
In inverter welders, the output current is unaffected by va-
riations in the supply voltage and the length of the arc, and is
perfectly levelled, giving the best welding quality.
3.2 Front control panel
1
Power supply
Indicates that the equipment is connected to the mains
and is on.
2
General alarm
Indicates the possible intervention of protection devices
such as the temperature protection (consult the "Alarm
codes" section).
3
Power on
Indicates the presence of voltage on the equipment
outlet connections.
4
Welding process
Allows the selection of the welding procedure.
Electrode welding (MMA)
TIG LIFT START welding
5
Main adjustment handle
Allows the welding current to be continuously adjusted.
This current is unchanged during the welding if the
power supply and welding conditions vary within the
ranges indicated in the technical characteristics.
In MMA welding, the presence of HOT-START and
ARC-FORCE ensures that the average output current
can be higher than the one set.
