motor could ignite fumes.
16. KEEP HANDLES DRY, CLEAN AND FREE
FROM OIL AND GREASE. Always use a clean
cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids,
gasoline, petroleum based products, or any
strong solvents to clean your tool.
17. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Before further
use of the tool, a guard and any other part
that is damaged should be carefully checked
to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function. Check
for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting
and any other conditions that may affect its
operation. A guard or any other part that
is damaged should be properly repaired or
replaced by an authorized service centre.

Pole Saw Safety Precautions
1. Grip pole saw firmly. Hold the pole saw
securely with both hands while the motor is
running. Use a firm grip with your thumbs
and fingers encircling the pole saw handles.
2. Stay alert. Keep all parts of the body away
from the chain saw chain while the motor
is running. Ensure that the chain of the pole
saw is not in contact with any surface before
starting it.
3. Damaged parts. Do not operate a pole saw
that is damaged, incorrectly adjusted, or that
is not completely and securely assembled.
Check to ensure that the chain saw stops
moving when the trigger is released.
4. Carrying the pole saw. Before picking up
the pole saw, ensure that it is has come to a
complete stop. Always carry the pole saw by
the handle with the motor stopped and the
chain facing backwards.
5. Wear gloves. Wear gloves to prevent injuries
while changing or adjusting the pole saw
blade.
6. Chain Tension. Make sure that the chain
tension is correct, as specified in these
instructions. Incorrect tension may cause the
chain to disengage from the guide bar, which
is extremely dangerous.
7. Check the supply and any extension cord
regularly for damage or signs of deterioration.
Do not use the tool, if the cords are damaged.
8. Switch off, allow the pole saw chain to stop
and pull the plug from the power source
whenever you leave the work area.
9. Replacement Parts. When servicing use only
identical replacement parts.
10. Polarized Tool Connections. To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this tool has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other) and
will require the use of a polarized extension
cord. The tool plug will fit into a polarized
extension cord only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the extension cord, reverse
