Checking the wear of the brake pads

Periodically check the width of the friction material layer of the
pads, making sure it never falls below the wear limit (1 mm).
WARNING: If the brake pads are excessively
worn out, the effectiveness of the braking
system decreases, increasing the risk of acci-
dents. If the pads have worn to near the wear
limit, have both pads replaced by an autho-
rized service centre. Ensure that the new pads
are suitably broken in.
