Emptying the pan

Before emptying
. Turn off appliance and let it cool down.
. Remove containers from the tank.

Raising the heating element

vessel in the base unit
Close
Open
. Only on appliances without waste connec­
tion: Put a temperature resistant container
with a sufficient capacity under the drain
outlet.
Removing the overflow pipe
CAUTION! The overflow pipe is hot.
There is a risk of scalding from any hot water
flowing out of the overflow pipe.
. Therefore remove the overflow pipe from the
drain slowly and carefully.
Opening the drain tap
CAUTION! There is a risk of scalding
from the hot water as the tank is drained!
. Open the drain tap. Turn the lever as far as
it goes.
D The water drains away.
CAUTION! heating element may still be
hot, risk of burns
Allow the heating elements to cool down.
Use pot holders or protective gloves.
. Swivel heater up in the direction of the ar­
row.
