10.2 Air Pressure Max/Min
8. Once the air pressure alarms are set, the maximum air pressure will be displayed.
To reset the maximum air pressure touch and hold the fl ashing maximum value for
3 seconds, the value will reset to the current reading.
9. Touch the PRESSURE section to confi rm.
10.3 Notes on Absolute and Relative Air Pressure:
10.3 Notes on Absolute and Relative Air Pressure:
Absolute air pressure provides the display of the true measured air pressure of the
current time and location.
Relative air pressure is the one value that is calculated back to sea level from the
local absolute air pressure and can thus be taken as a reference for weather condition
and weather development for the entire country. It can be programmed to represent
your local surroundings. Since the relative air pressure is also the one value given by
various media sources, users can set the relative air pressure of the weather station
to this value to represent readings for their area.
1. Touch the WEATHER FORECAST section, + and – buttons will start to fl ash.
2. Touch the + or – buttons to switch between Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy and
Rainy icons.
3. Touch the WEATHER FORECAST section to confi rm.
4. Touch the + or – buttons to set the pressure threshold from 2-4 hPa. Touch the
WEATHER FORECAST section to confi rm.
5. Follow step 4 to set the storm threshold from 3-9 hPa.
NOTE:
NOTE: The pressure threshold only displays in hPa.
Notes to hPa sensitivity setting for weather forecasting:
Notes to hPa sensitivity setting for weather forecasting:
forecasting from 2-4 hPa. For areas that experience frequent changes in air pressure
(which does not necessarily refl ect a change in the weather) requires a higher hPa
setting compared to an area where the air pressure is stagnant.
if a higher hPa value is selected, a bigger change in air pressure is needed to
change the Weather forecast icons.
If 2 hPa is selected, then there must be a fall or rise in air pressure of at least 2 hPa
before the weather station will register this as a change in weather.
Notes to storm threshold setting
The storm threshold means the weather icons (rain and clouds) will begin to fl ash
indicating a dramatic change in pressure, indicating a storm. Similar to the general hPa
sensitivity it is possible to adjust the storm threshold sensitivity from 3-9 hPa. So, if
for example 6 hPa is selected, the air pressure has to change by 6 hPa before storm
threshold is reached and the weather icons will start fl ashing.
