Intended use
This radio controlled switch set consists of an remote controlled switch for outdoor use and a handheld
transmitter. By using the handheld transmitter, a consumer load connected to the remote controlled outdoor
switch can be turned on or off.
The handheld transmitter is solely intended for use in dry indoor spaces. The remote controlled wireless
outdoor switch is suitable for use outdoors (IP44).
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These instructions not
only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire operating manual before using
the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of companies and
products are the trademarks of the respective owner.

Safety instructions
 T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not permitted
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product emits only
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-support systems. The
same may also be the case in other areas.
• The remote controlled, outdoor switch is designed in accordance with protection class I. Only
a standard mains socket (230V/AC, 50Hz with protective earth) for the public supply grid may
be used as the power source for the outdoor switch.
• The handheld transmitter is powered by a 12 V battery (type "23 A").
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore, be especially
careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects through the socket open-
ings, for example. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The handheld transmitter is only intended for use in dry indoor spaces. The remote controlled
wireless outdoor switch is suitable for use outdoors (IP44).
• The power socket in which the switch socket is plugged must be easily accessible.
• Never touch the remote controlled outdoor switch, or the mains plug, with wet or damp hands
while trying to connect a plug to the front socket. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• Never remove a mains plug from the front of the remote controlled outdoor switch by pulling on
the power cable. Always pull the plug from the socket in the wireless outdoor switch, by using
the gripping surface provided on the side.
• Don't connect adaptor plugs in series!
• The device is only voltage-free when its plug is pulled out of the mains socket.
• Do not overload the radio controlled outdoor switch (take note of the input power in the techni-
cal data at the end of the operating instructions!).
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.
• If the product casing is damaged, do not use the product anymore! When the remote control-
led switch is connected to the mains, do not touch the outdoor switch or the connected device!
First, switch off the mains socket to which the outdoor switch is connected (switch off at the
circuit breaker). You can then remove the outdoor switch from the mains socket. Take the
product to a specialized workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
Battery notes
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or
domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective
gloves.
• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!

• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are

• If it is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries may leak and cause dam-

Inserting/replacing the Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the handheld transmitter and insert a 12 V-battery (type
"23 A") with the correct polarity (pay attention to the diagram in the battery compartment). Close the battery
compartment again.
The batteries need to be replaced if the range of the handheld transmitter is significantly reduced or the
control LED (5) no longer lights when the buttons are used.
