Centring aid 12 for hole saws
(2 608 580 327)
Mounting the Centring Aids
Depending on the drill-hole size, use the respective applica-
tion tool and corresponding centring aid.
Ø 5–14 mm: Mounting the centring aid 11
(see figures B1–B3)
– Mark the position of the requested drill hole on the tile.
– Position the centring aid 11 on the mark either via the fit-
ting diameter-hole 13 or the V-groove 14.
– To fasten the centring aid by means of vacuum, firstly fold
up handle 15 and then the locking lever 16 down in the op-
posite direction.
Note: If the structural surface should not allow for fastening
by means of vacuum, the centring aid can be held in position
manually via the handle during drilling.
– Mount the connection hose 10 to the corresponding hose
connection 17 of the centring aid.
Ø 19–83 mm: Mounting the centring aid 12
(see figures C1–C4)
– Mark the position of the requested drill hole on the tile.
– Adjust the centring aid 12 accordingly to your drill hole:
For this, loosen the screws and convert the upper guide for
the respective diameter range.
For fine adjustment, slide the guide to match the size of
your hole saw and then firmly tighten the screws again.
– Position the centring aid on the mark and press it firmly
against the tile.
– To fasten the centring aid by means of vacuum, fold up the
locking lever 16 parallel to the handle 15.
Note: If the structural surface should not allow for fastening
by means of vacuum, the centring aid can be held in position
manually via the handle during drilling.
– Mount the connection hose 10 to the corresponding hose
connection 17 of the centring aid.
Operation

Initial Operation

Filling the Water-pressure Bottle (see figure D)
– Unscrew the spray head 5 from the pressure container 4
by turning in anticlockwise direction.
– Fill the pressure container with clean water (0.9 l max.).
– Insert the spray head again and tighten it firmly by turning
in clockwise direction.
Building up Pressure in the Water-pressure Bottle
(see figure E)
– Pressurize the water-pressure bottle by pumping with the
pump handle 7 (10 times max.).
The pressure supply is sufficient for approximately one con-
tainer filling. When the water pressure is no longer sufficient
during drilling, apply further pumping action with the pump
handle 7.
Bosch Power Tools
Connecting the Water-pressure Bottle (see figure F)
– Mount the connection hose 10 to the hose connection 6 of
the water-pressure bottle.
Adjusting the Water Flow (see figure G)
To ensure maximum service life of the application tool, the
drill location must always be cooled. For this, provide for a
continuous water flow.
– Firstly, press the lever 9 of the pressure-relief valve down
and then slide the locking button 8 toward the pump han-
dle.
Working Advice
Preparing the Cordless Drill
– Clamp the application tool in the drill chuck.
-1
– Adjust the speed to 1500 min
– Set the operating mode to "drilling".
Note: To protect the application tool, never work with a high-
er speed and in the "impact drilling" operation mode.
Diamond Drilling (see figure H)
Do not overload the cordless drill or the application tool. Al-
ways drill with low feed pressure.
Never drill without water-cooling. Fill up the water-pressure
bottle in time and always provide for a continuous water flow.
Never drill overhead. The cooling water will not be picked-
up/collected by the centring aid, but will run all over your
cordless drill together with the drilling material.
After drilling through the tile, immediately pull the application
tool out of the drill hole. Drilling in the softer material behind
the tile (e. g., tile adhesive, roughcast, plaster, brick) reduces
the service life of the diamond-drill bit. Continue the drilling
with an application tool suitable for the respective material.
When using the V-guide 14 of centring aid 11, the diamond-
drill bit can slip off of the smooth surface or drift away. There-
fore, start drilling slightly inclined.
Using a diameter-hole 13 of the centring aid prevents slipping
off.
Loosening Centring Aids Fastened by means of Vacuum
(see figure I)
– Centring aid 11:
Firstly, fold handle 15 and then locking lever 16 back to
the middle of the centring aid.
or
– Centring aid 12:
Fold locking lever 16 away from handle 15.

Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

Draining the Water-pressure Bottle
Drain the water-pressure bottle 1 each time after using.
– Press lever 9 of the pressure-release valve until the water-
pressure bottle is pressure-free.
