The "Periodicity" field sets the frequency to which the clock queries the configured NTP servers.
o Multicast: In this case, the NTP server broadcasts the time on the Multicast address that it has
been given. The multicast address of the clients must be the same as the one broadcast by the
server.
By default, Bodet products send and receive using the multicast address: 239.192.54.1
Multicast addresses are included between 224.0.0.0 and 239.255.255.255.
o By DHCP: Same mode as Unicast except that the addresses of the NTP servers are automatically
retrieved via the DHCP server (configuration of option 42 on the DHCP server).
The Save buttons save the configuration data entered.
5.4 Alarm configuration page
Clock supervision allows ensuring its proper functioning.
It allows monitoring of a number of settings.
By default, all the alarms are disabled.
Enable the desired alarms according to the options (battery, lighting) available on
your clock.
This page is used to enable clock supervision, to define the information to be transmitted and the
destination server. One or more settings can be defined and configured as alarms. The information
displayed is described below:
- Enable SNMP Trap check box: when checked, error messages are sent automatically to the
SNMP Manager(s).
- Version V1/V2C: choice of the protocol version. The V2C version is more recent and secure.
- SNMP Manager 1/2/3: IP addresses of the servers receiving alarms from the clocks. SNMP
Manager redundancy increases the reliability of reception of alarms.
