Operating Instructions
1. Carefully unpack the quesadilla maker and wipe all surfaces with soft, damp cloth.
2. To prevent sticking for the first time, use a light coat of cooking oil.
3. Close the lid and plug in the quesadilla maker. The appliance will automatically begin to preheat.
Both the Red Power/On and Green Ready/Cook Indicator Lights will go ON. In approximately 5 minutes
the Green Ready/Cook Indicator Light will go OFF when the unit is properly heated.
NOTE: The Green Ready/Cook Indicator Light will continue to turn on and off while cooking to maintain
a constant cooking temperature.
4. CAUTION: Use potholders or oven mitts when working with the hot unit. Lift the Lid and place the
quesadilla in the center of the bottom Cooking Plate. Close the Lid and make sure the Latch is secure.
5. Grill for approximately 3 - 5 minutes depending on the filling. Over-grilling will cause filling to melt out
the sides of the tortillas.
6. When your quesadilla is ready, gently raise the Lid with potholders and use a plastic or wooden spatula
to remove the quesadilla from the Cooking Plate.
CAUTION: Do not use sharp-edged or metal utensils that may damage the non-stick surface.
Do not leave plastic utensils on the Cooking Plate that may melt.
7. Keep the Lid closed to maintain a constant heat for the next quesadillas.
8. After use, wait until the Green Ready/Cook Indicator Light is "OFF" before unplugging the quesadilla
maker to avoid sparks at the outlet. Allow unit to cool before cleaning and putting away.
