Data Logging
REDY CO2 air / water Sensor
Ref : 488 016
3. First Use
When receiving your sensor, and before the first use, it is recommended to fully charge
the battery.
Use the USB-C cable supplied to connect the sensor to a USB port of a computer, or a
power outlet via a universal charger (like the USB mains charger ref. 805819, not supplied)
Before each practical work, plan to fully charge the device.
The battery life varies depending on the conditions of use and the number of measurements
and is designed to ensure a full practical session.
4. First Probe Start Up
5. Probe polarization
Polarization consist in carrying out a chemical equilibrium on either side of the glass
electrode.
This step is necessary in different situations:
It consists of filling the head with electrolyte and leaving the probe upside down for a
period given in the table below. No power supply is required.
First start up
After an electrolyte change
After changing the probe head
After polarization, the probe must be calibrated. (see chapter 7)
N.B .: You can test the probe polarization by plugging it into a pH meter equipped with a
mV potential measurement mode. When the probe is placed in the air, the measured
value should be between -180 and -240 mV.
ENGLISH
✓ Unscrew the probe head from the body
✓ Fill it three quarters full with electrolyte
✓ Remove all air bubbles contained in the electrolyte by tapping the probe head
✓ Screw on the probe head so that the electrolyte overflows. This guarantees the
absence of air.
✓ Rinse it with distilled water and avoid touching the membrane
✓ Allow the polarization to take place (see chapter 5)
✓ Calibrate the probe (see chapter 7)
✓ For the first start up (see chapter 4)
✓ After an electrolyte change
✓ After changing the probe head
