Note:
70% air humidity is the upper limit with which the
human body feels comfortable. If it is too warm for
the human body this means the water content is too
high, i.e. humidity is too high. Humidity has a certain
relationship to temperature. As a general rule, the
following applies: 60-70% for the summer and 50-
70% for the winter.
At room temperatures of below 10°C or a relative
room humidity of below 40% it will not be
economical to use the appliance.

Before using

The room temperature should lie in the range
from 8 to 32°C/RH 40-80%. The dehumidifier will
not work effectively outside this range.
Important safety informations:
The dehumidifier should always be used in
vertical position.
After transporting or tilting (angled positions) the
device, do not plug into the power socket for at
least 1 hour.
The appliance must have approx. 1 m air
clearance above and behind to enable it to take
in sufficient air.
Keep the unit away from heaters or heat-
generating equipment.
Never pour or spray water over the unit.
Never use the power plug to switch the unit on or
off.
Always use the switch on the control panel.
Before you move the unit, switch it off with the
On/Off button, pull out the power plug and empty
the water tank.
Clean the air filter before it becomes heavily
soiled. The unit works best with a clean filter.
Never use insect spray or any other combustible
cleaning agents on the unit.
If the unit develops a fault, switch it off, pull out
the power plug and notify your service partner.
If the power cable suffers any damage,
it must be replaced by a specialist in order to rule
out all risks.
If the power cable for the appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
after-sales service or similarly trained personnel
to avoid danger.

Starting up (Fig. 2)
Notes:
To achieve an optimum circulation of air it is
recommended that the appliance be set up in the
middle of the room as far as possible.
Avoid open windows and doors and entering and
leaving the room frequently, etc.
The appliance must never be used in excessively
dusty rooms or rooms with excessive amounts of
chlorine.
The dehumidifying performance of the appliance
is dependent on the characteristics of the room,
the room temperature and the relative humidity.
If the condensate container is not fitted correctly,
the appliance will not work.
To prevent high starting currents the appliance is
equipped with a restart inhibit which only restarts
the compressor after a delay of 3 minutes.
Check that the voltage on the rating plate is the
same as your supply voltage.
If the appliance is connected to the mains supply
but is not operational, the "Power" LED shines
red. As soon as the appliance is switched on the
"Power" LED shines green.
a) To switch on
1. Plug the mains plug into the mains socket outlet.
As soon as there is a voltage supply the "Power"
LED lights up red and a short warning signal
sounds.
2. Press switch A for at least 2 seconds and the
appliance switches on at 70% RH (default
setting).
3. By pressing switch A several times you can
adjust the room humidity, starting with 70% (RH
70% - RH 60% - RH 50% - RH 40% - Continuous
– RH 70% ...). When set to "Continuous" the
"Power" LED shines red, while the "RH 70% ...
RH 40%" do not shine.
b) To switch off
1. To switch off the appliance, press the switch A
for at least 2 seconds. The appliance is switched
off completely and the "Power" LED shines red.
2. Pull the plug out of the socket.
3. Remove the condensate container, empty it and
