Loading configuration
The antenna with its telescopic arms has three
possible loading configurations for different
work situations: ceiling, under slope or vertical..
Ceiling confi guration

Position the antenna on the pivot and lock it
with the butterfl y screw
2
The antenna must be positioned perpendicular
to the winch bracketl

Instructions for use
This device is intended solely for fitting plaster
board. For any other use, consult the manufacturer..
■
Procedure for lowering the Taliatop
1. Check that the cable is taut, if necessary tension it by turning the winch handle.
2. Lower using the winch handle.
■
Loading the plaster board:
• Lock the 2 braked wheels.
• Tilt the antenna to the maximum using the handling handle.
• Configure the extended antenna depending on the mode of installation
(ceiling, under slope or vertical: see Loading configuration).
• Load the board on the retractable stops or fixed stops
making sure that it is centred on the appliance (fig. 1).
• Before tilting the loaded antenna, check the stability of the board.
■
Fitting a board:
• Adjust the loaded antenna into the desired position.
• Unlock the wheels and move the whole Taliatop® / board in its bottom position as near
as possible to the installation location.
• Lock the wheels and raise the board with the winch handle (if necessary, assist the
appliance according to the tilt angle of the board ).
5
• Unlock the 2 wheels for final positioning.
• Apply slight pressure with the winch handle and brake the wheels again before fitting.
• Proceed with the fitting of the board.
• Before lowering, check that the tension is the same in the cable strands and operate the
handle..

■
Vertical fitting:
• For vertical fitting put the appliance in the sloping configuration and unfold the extension
so that the wheels are on the ground and the stops positioned to
• receive the board. Unpin the antenna pivot.
• Move the feet into the vertical position - mark
With the stability of the appliance provided by the wheels
• Load the board with the wheels braked.
• Release the brakes, and then make the approach by rolling the device with no elevation
To avoid any risk of toppling over.
• Once you are opposite the support, locked at the bottom, complete the approach moving
with the device. Make a controlled lift until the board is pressed against the support while
keeping the wheels are on the floor.
• Once vertical, lock the wheels of the device before starting to lift.
■
Servicing
• Periodical verification by the user and by an inspection body of the proper operation of the device
(Decree of 1 March 2004).
• Check the condition of the cable regularly. Do not hesitate to change it as soon as the slightest fault is
visible (crushing, pinching, etc) and immediately on breakage of a wire.
• Check the condition of the brakes, wheels, winch and pulleys regularly.
(lubricate their bores regularly).
