If the Purion display shows an error, do not use your e-bike
and contact a specialised Bosch dealer!

4.5. Lighting

Check the lighting (front and rear light) before every ride and make sure your
front light does not blind the oncoming traffic (chapter 3.7., page 72).
Also pay attention when carrying luggage on the e-bike, or e.g. wearing a
long coat, that front and rear light are uncovered.
In case of malfunction of the lighting contact your
Schindelhauer dealer. The repair should be executed only
by a trained mechanic, because of the internal cable
routing!

4.6. Bolted connections

Schindelhauer e-bikes are designed to operate as silently as possible. This
implies the headset being adjusted correctly and all bolts and nuts tightened
to their required torques.
1. Are the axle bolts or axle nuts on front and rear wheel tightened
according to the recommended torques (chapter 11, page 103)?
2. A quick check reveals loose bolted connections: lift the e-bike about 5
cm off the ground and let it drop on the tyres safely. If any rattling
noises occur locate the source and tighten the detected loose fastener
to the required torque (chapter 11, page 103).
Further tips for locating unwanted noise and its elimination can be found in
chapter 7.4 on page 89.
If unwanted noises cannot be eliminated, timely contact
your specialised dealer to avoid long-term damages.
Never loosen or modify any fasteners that are related to
the drive unit or the battery. Danger of accident! For safety
reasons all maintenance work on the Bosch eBike System
must be carried out by a trained Bosch dealer!
Do not ride your Schindelhauer e-bike if it is faulty according
to the paragraphs in chapter 4, pages 75 ff. !
