CERAMIC
Ceramic is an innovative material, extremely resistant to scratches and skin friendly.
Non-oxiding and inert to chemical agents, it guarantees a long durability of your watch.
The hardness index of Versace ceramic is 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scale, while that of
diamond is 10.
Please note that ceramic is a very hard material, but not indestructible.
Versace ceramic watches must be treated with care.
If hit hard, knocked sharply or dropped, ceramic components may break.
WINDING QUARTZ WATCHES
Quartz watches are battery-powered, and therefore do not need to be wound.
The battery life is generally guaranteed for over 2 years of continuous use.
Never leave run-down batteries inside watches as they could leak, damaging the move-
ment.
:
battery replacement
Batteries must be replaced by a VERSACE Boutique, an authorized dealer or a VERSACE
assistance centre.
In the event of having repairs carried out during the warranty period, you must submit the
duly filled-in VERSACE Warranty Certificate.
WINDING MECHANICAL WATCHES WITH AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT
Mechanical movements are automatically wound up with the movements of the wrist. If
not worn, the watch will function for just 42 hours. Following this period, the watch will
have to be wound up by hand.
Winding the watch by hand (see the drawing: setting the time - watches with a crown):
To wind the watch when it is stopped, unscrew crown (position II), then wind the mecha-
nism turning the crown anticlockwise 5 times.
:
adjusting the strap
The watch must cling firmly to the wrist. Otherwise, the watch will be unable to wind up
automatically.
