CONCRETE-MIXER WITH DIESEL ENGINE
For concrete-mixer with diesel engine or petrol, the following norms must be respected:
Never run concrete-mixer in closed area: engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide and other deadly gas
Make sure that the engine has a proper ventilation; keep exhaust gas away from working area , by tubes or other means for
expulsion
Make sure that the concrete mixer is working on a plain surface in order to grant an optimum oil & fuel flow to the engine. If it is not
possible to work on a plain surface must be arranged at best a horizontal round for the machine using proper means .
After turning off the engine wait for at least an hour before carrying out any maintenance operation. Engine parts, expecially silencer
or exhaust unit become extremely hot and severe thermal burns can occur on contact.
When filling oil & fuel make sure that engine is stopped. Take care to parts that become extremely hot.
Maintenace operation must be carried out after turning off engine and all the devices out.
Use this concrete mixer in the type of application for which it has been designed. Do not use the concrete-mixer for improper use.
The operator should use of protection devices such as ear-muffiers
Avoid skin coming in into contact with fuel, oil and battery acid. In case of contact with skin , wash immediately with water and soap:
do not use organic solvents. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult a doctor. If you
inadvertently swallow them call a doctor immediately.
Used oil and fuel as special wastes and must be treated as such. Do not scatter them in the environment.
In case of emergency do not use but fire extinguisher.
Before using the concrete mixer ensure that all safety devices are fitted and check that each device is in perfect condition. Check the
functionning of each moving parts and that there are not some obstacles.
IMPORTANT: The spare parts and accessories must be replaced by original spares of the same type. This concrete-mixer has been
produced in compliance with safety at works norms currently in force. Do not make modification to the parts without approval of Edil
Lame and have repair work carried out by expert personnel . This hazard, if not avoided, could be result a seroius injury.
DIESEL ENGINE OPERATION.
The concrete mixer are equipped with diesel engine with electric or manual starter. See the Manual of instruction and maintenance
of the engine to further information. In this manual there are some principal check only.
OIL LEVEL
Check oil level periodically ( and when the engine is new) in order to ensure the best performances of the engine. See " manual
instruction and maintenance" of the engine to the oil dats, adjustement and further information.
IMPORTANT :do not use engine wihout oil, to avoid engine damage.
FUEL -Use clean, fresh fuel without water – WARNING: Fill up will fuel in an open area The negine must be turned off . During this
operation, do not smoke and do not use flames nearby. Be carefully not to overfill and do not fill the tank to the bottom maximum
because some fuel could come out due to engine vibrations..
After the filling, make sure that the cap is fixed perfeclty. Do not touch the fuel and do not breath vapours.
Make sure that all times, there are not childrens or not qualified people. Check air filter; verify that it is not dirty or damaged. For
correct use and correct routine maintenance of the air filter, refer to the specific "manual of instruction and maintenance" of the
engine.
WARNING: Never run engine without complete air cleaner: reduce engine life.
The engine with electric starter is equipped with battery service without solution, so has to be turned before the engine starting. To
effect this operation, fill each battery cell with sulphuric acid ( solution to 30/40%) and wait at least 2 hours. WARNING: avoid skin
coming into contact with sulphuric acid. Do not smoke and keep away burning or hot object. Do not breath vapors ( vapors are
flamable and dangerous) Store batteries out of reach of children. Before starting engine check oil & fuel level and check that the
suction and the exhaust tube are clear.
ENGINE WITH ELECRIC STARTER
Turn clockwise the key to until the engine is running. Release the key to first position.
After the starting, the engine should be tick to idle for at least 2 minutes; then speed up by manual throttle till the drum turn for
about 18 rpm/min .When the engine runs smootly block the manual throttle by fitting handle-bar.The concrete mixer is ready to
work.To stop the motor, it must stick to idle ( about 2 minutes) to stabilise the temperature. After that, pull the stop lever (near the
throttle lever ) till the complete stop; turn the key in vertical position. At the end of every day's remove the key to avoid that other
persons start-up the machine.
ENGINE WITH MANUAL STARTER
Roll up the starter rope in the direction of the arrow in the cable-drum. Pull the starter rope until the point with lower resistance to
jerk, so, pull with streght. After running engine, the operation are the same as electric starter ( exclusion the key)
If the concrete mixer is used at hight temperature or at hight altitude, , the range air/fuel could be very
increase and the performances reduce. The power reduce about 1% every 100 m above sea and about 5° of temperature over 20°. If
the engine operat over 2000 m of altitude, contact the engine manufactured to possible adjustement
OPERATING CYCLE
When the motor running, the drum does not turn. Turn the level of inverter ( on the engine) in the position "IMPASTA/SCARICA" and
the drum turn. When the drum turn following the position " IMPASTA" the hydraulic system pump raise steam the oil. Adjust the
turns of the drum. To disconnect the safety device of the skip, turn the drum following the position " IMPASTA" pull the distributor
