Troubleshooting
Additional heat pumps
f Repeat the steps for any additional heat pumps as de-
scribed in the section "Heat pump 2".
f Connect all heat pumps.
5.2 Heat pump cascade with a shared control
MCB
f Install all heat pumps and control units.
f Fill and vent the heat pumps.
f Isolate the control MCB and load circuit MCBs from the
power supply.
f open the heat pumps so that you can access the integral
heat pump control unit IWS.
f Unplug the CAN bus connection on the IWS on all heat
pumps.

f In all heat pumps, switch the DIP switches on the IWS to
cascade operation.
f Activate the control MCB.

f Press the RESET button on each IWS for 10 seconds until
the three LEDs show a steady light.
f Deactivate the control MCB.
Heat pump 1
f Plug the heat pump CAN bus connector into the IWS.
f Activate the control MCB.
f open the menu on the WPM.

f Ensure that the number of the heat pump (e.g. "WP1") is
displayed with the IWS software version.

pump ID.
f Deactivate the control MCB.

f Connect all heat pumps.

6. Troubleshooting
If an error occurs during initialisation or if a heat pump in the
cascade has been replaced, a WPM reset must be performed.
This resets the WPM to factory condition. After the reset, the
system must be reinitialised. observe the installation instruc-
tions for the WPM and the operating and installation instruc-
tions for the heat pump.
f Isolate the heat pump and the WPM from the power
supply.
f Disconnect the bus connection from all heat pumps.
f Switch on the control voltage for the WPM and the heat
pumps.
f Carry out a WPM reset. You will need code 7 7 7 7.

f Commission the cascade (see chapter "Commissioning").
