Maintenance / Repairs
The maintenance intervals depend on the operating conditions and are to be
determined by the operator.
If any deviations from the normal state (e.g. leaks) are identified during maintenance
work, the bursting disc/safety valve combination must be replaced immediately or
repaired properly in order to ensure continued safe operation.
Repairs to bursting disc/safety valve combinations must only be performed by the
Goetze KG Armaturen company or by authorised specialist workshops, and with the
use of original spare parts only. Makeshift repairs of all kinds are prohibited!
The maintenance and assembly instructions of the individual fittings, i.e. of the
safety valve and bursting disc, must be observed.

Dismantling the fitting
Hazard warnings!!!
Any operating medium that escapes can lead to burns, poisoning and corrosive
injuries, and suitable measures must be taken to exclude this hazard. Beware of
after-flowing residues! Appropriate and sufficient items of personal protection
clothing must be worn!
Dismantling of the bursting disc/safety valve combination from the system must
only be performed by qualified staff.
For this purpose, the pressurised system in question and the bursting disc/safety
valve combination must be put into an unpressurised state.
When operating with media that are classified as hazardous, the system must be
rinsed and vented accordingly.
Where necessary, the safety valve must be warmed up or cooled down until a safe
temperature has been reached.
