EGC-FA
• Compare the limit values specified in these operating instructions with use in your actual applica
tion. This applies, for example, to forces, torques, temperatures, loads and speeds.
Operation of the product in compliance with the relevant safety regulations depends on adherence
to the load limits.
• Take the tolerance of the tightening torques into consideration. Unless otherwise specified, the
tolerance is ± 20 %.

Mechanical installation

• Do not modify the screws and threaded pins if not directly requested to do so in these operating
instructions.
5.1.1

Mounting the axis

Prerequisites
• Position the product in such a way that its control sections are accessible (e.g. relubrication open
ings).
• Make sure that the mounting components are outside the travel range of the slide.
• Install the product without tension or distortion.
• Attach the product to a mounting surface with an evenness of
0.05 % of the stoke length.
• Take the required support clearances into consideration
(è 12 Characteristic curves).
If the EGC-...-FA guide axis is used in conjunction with a
EGC-...-TB/BS-KF drive axis:
• Use mounting surfaces with identical evenness for both axes.
Use the same support clearances on the drive axis as on the guide axis.
In this way you will prevent tension due to uneven flexing.
• Perform cushioning preferably on the axis with the larger payload and coordinate it on both axes.
In the case of gantry structures, attention must also be paid to parallel alignment or product height in
the alignment of the axes. For additional information, contact your local Festo Service.
• Attach the EGC (è Tab. 1).
