GETTING STARTED
Only immerse the camera head and gooseneck in liquids that are voltage free.
Do not immerse the camera gooseneck over the marking „MAX water level".
The endoscope must only be used for inspections of de-energised equipment.
The camera head is made from metal and if the protective cap is not attached this
may lead to short-circuits.
For safety reasons, de-energise all components prior to every inspection.
Avoid strong mechanical stress or vibrations.
Do not exceed the minimum bending radius of 100 mm.
a) Connecting/replacing the endoscope camera
1. Connect a compatible camera to the
socket. Observe the correct orientation;
the hollow part on the jack (on the
endoscope camera) should fit in the
protruding part on the socket (base).
Make sure the connection socket is
aligned exactly with the pins of the
connection jack. An arrow is printed on
the connection socket. This arrow must
point towards the display on the
endoscope.
2. Turn the metal screw fastener clockwise,
to secure the camera.
3. Remove the camera, by turning the
metal fastener on the camera counter-
clockwise.
b) Device attachment on the sliding reel (camera length 10 m or more)
Endoscope cameras with a length of 10 m and more are equipped with a storage and sliding
reel.
1. Place the endoscope base unit (BS-1000T, not included) in the support above the sliding
reel.
2. Secure the device with the safety screw.
3. Attach and fasten the connection plug on the base unit as described in point a).
4. To detach it, proceed in the reverse order.
c) Use of the sliding reel
Endoscope cameras with a length of 10 m and more are equipped with a storage and sliding
reel.
The open hook is used to store the camera head securely. Prior to each use of the camera,
unfasten it from the hook to avoid damage to the camera cable.
When using the camera pay attention to the connection cable. It must not get caught in the
sliding reel.
Slowly insert the endoscope camera into the piping system to be inspected. For this purpose,
carefully and slowly pull the camera. The camera could be damaged if handled by force or
moved too quickly.
Do not pull the camera forcefully.
After completing the inspection work, gently slide the camera back.
To do this, do not turn the reel, but carefully push the endoscope cable back in order to avoid
damage.
Hook the camera head in again to prevent unintentional transport damage.
d) Fastening/replacing the protective cap
The pipe inspection cameras are equipped with a protective cap to protect against dirt.
To clean the camera head, the protective cap can be removed. For this purpose, rotate the cap
counter clockwise. Do not apply force otherwise you could destroy the cap.
Now remove the protective cap to access the camera head.
Proceed in reverse order when reattaching the protective cap.
