Insufficient water
Crossflow: hot water forced into
cold water supply or vice versa
when mixture is closed

Maintenance
Inspect the check valves yearly. Replace the check valves when necessary.
If the water flow diminishes over time, clean the filters on the thermostatic cartridge.
To prolong the life of the thermostatic cartridge, regularly run it through its complete range of
temperatures.
