The position of the "Unibox T SH" should be
chosen so that a perfect registration of the
room temperature and a constant circulation
of the air around the thermostat are guaran-
teed.
The thermostat should not be influenced by
any other heat source.
• Do not install near other heat sources, e.g.
additional radiators.
• Avoid direct sunlight onto the thermostat
(illustr. 5.2).
• Do not install at a location exposed to
draught.

The wall box unit is to be installed with the hole
pointing downwards.
Alignment and fixing are made by use of the
enclosed elbows. They can be fixed at the side
of the wall box unit in different positions.
The wall box unit is sealed in the wall. The val-
ve is protected by a cover made of corrugated
cardboard.

5.3. Floor construction

Regarding thermal and sound insulation, the
construction has to comply with the valid rules,
standards and regulations.

5.4. Installation

ATTENTION
When installing the pipework, the correct
sequence has to be observed to ensure a
perfect function of the "Unibox T SH"
Installation and operating instructions
• Provide connection at the flow distributor
(see illustr. 5.3)
• Laying of the surface heating circuit in a
spiral pattern (see illustr. 5.3)
• Connection of the pipework to the "Unibox T
SH". The marked direction of flow on the val-
ve has to be observed. Remove the protec-
tion cover of the "Unibox T SH".
Note
The "Unibox T SH" is installed behind the sur-
face heating circuit.
• Laying of the connection pipe to the return
collector.

The surface heating system is installed with
any standard pipe material and corresponding
compression fittings for G ¾ cone "Euro". The
corresponding installation instructions are to
be observed.
NOTE
Insert copper pipe a maximum of 5 mm deeper
than the fitting.
An open ring spanner 30 mm is recommended
to tighten the fittings.

5.5. Leakage test

After installation, the system can be filled and
flushed.
ATTENTION
Then carry out leakage test according to
DIN EN 1264. The tightness and the test
pressure are to be documented in a test re-
port.
