• Children shall not play with the tool. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children.
• Maintain the tool with care. If damaged, have it re-
paired before use. Please refer to the maintenance
instructions for detailed information on the proper
maintenance of the tool.
• Please keep the tool in clean condition, wipe off
grease and/or oil after work. Do not use any solvent
based cleaner to clean the tool. It is possible that
the solvent will deteriorate the tool. Greasy handle
and tool body can cause accidental drop of the tool
and injury to nearby person.
• Have your tool serviced by a qualified repair person
using only parts that are supplied or recommended
by Kyocera Unimerco Fastening. This will ensure
that the safety of the tool is maintained.
• Do not make any modifications to the tool as it will
impact the CE-approval and safety approvals.
• Use only lubricants as recommended in this man-
ual.

Charger and battery warnings

• Recharge the batteries only with the charger speci-
fied by Kyocera Unimerco Fastening. A charger that
is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a
risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
• Do not use the battery pack for other purposes. Do
not try the pack with other tools. There is a risk that
it gets overheated or causes a fire or explosion.
• The charger plug must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs and
matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators
when working with electrical equipment. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
• Do not expose the battery or charger to rain, snow
or wet conditions and do not immerse the battery or
charger into water or other fluids, as it will increase
the risk of electric shock.
• Do not touch the electric plug or charger with wet
hands or gloves.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for car-
rying, pulling or unplugging the charger. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Do not use the battery charger if the cord is dam-
aged or the battery charger is defect. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use the battery charger in explosive atmos-
phere. This electrical device is not designed for use
in such environment.
• Charge the battery cartridge with room tempera-
ture at 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). Do not charge
battery outdoors or in temperatures below 0°C
(32°F). Let a hot battery cartridge cool down before
charging it.
• Supercooled batteries must be tempered one hour
at 20° before charging is initiated.
• Do not puncture or attempt to open charger or
battery case.
• Do not cover the battery charger with anything.
• Do not use a step up transformer or engine genera-
tor as the power source of the battery charger.
• During charging, the battery charger must be placed
in a well-ventilated area.
• When the battery pack is not in use, unplug the tool
and keep it away from fluids and metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection from
one terminal to another. Short-circuiting the battery
terminals may cause burns or a fire.
• Recycle battery and charger according to local
laws. Do not incinerate the battery/charger or
attempt to puncture and crush the battery/charger.
• Remove the battery from the unplugged charger
before storing
• Do not expose the battery or tools loaded with
battery under direct sun light exposure. Prevent
to expose them at temperatures higher than 40°C
(104°F). Overheating the battery can result in
explosion or fire.
• The charger should be left to cool down at least one
hour after charging three cycles continuously.

Foreseeable hazards

• Information to conduct a risk assessment of these
hazards and implementation of appropriate controls
is essential.
• When using the tool for long periods, the operator
may experience discomfort in arms, shoulders,
neck, or other parts of the body.
• Exposure to vibration can cause disabling damage
to the nerves and blood supply of the hands and
arms.
• If the operator experiences symptoms such as
persistent or recurring discomfort, pain, throbbing,
aching, tingling, numbness, burning sensation, or
stiffness, do not ignore these warning signs. The
operator shall consult a qualified health professional
regarding overall activities.
• While using the tool, the operator shall adopt a suit-
able but ergonomic posture. Maintain secure footing
and avoid awkward or off-balanced postures.
• Hold the tool with a light, but safe, grip because the
risk from vibration is generally greater when the grip
force is higher.
• Residual risks relating to repetitive work hazards
such as duration of use in respect to working posi-
tions and forces may exist. It is advised to consult
EN 1005-3 and EN 1005-4 for such information.
• Slips, trips and falls are major causes of workplace
injury. Be aware of slippery surfaces when operat-
ing the tool.
• Proceed with additional care in unfamiliar surround-
ings. Hidden hazards may exist, such as electricity
or other utility lines.
