  • Page 3 English SUGGESTED PROCEDURE Placement of the depth electrodes may be accomplished through a variety of surgical techniques. The surgeon is advised to use a surgical technique according to his/her standard practice. Inserting Connector Cable Pins into an EEG Monitor The connector cables have up to 12 gold plated connector pins numbered 1-12 that correspond to the electrode contacts 1-12 when the electrode and cable are joined properly (see Section 2).

    Deutsch BESCHREIBUNG Auragen™ Tiefenelektroden sind für das intraoperative Monitoring der elektrischen Aktivität der Hirnrinde bestimmt, um die Lage epileptogener Herde zu bestimmen. Tiefenelektroden werden stereotaktisch in das Gehirn eingeführt. Tiefenelektroden sind mit einer unterschiedlichen Anzahl von Kontakten erhältlich. Die Länge der Tiefenelektroden ist eine Standardlänge.

Es wird dem Chirurgen empfoh- len, das chirurgische Verfahren zu wählen, das seinen Standardpraktiken entspricht. Einsetzen der Anschlusskabelstifte in einen EEG-Monitor Die Anschlusskabel haben bis zu 12 vergoldete Anschluss-Stifte, die von 1 bis 12 nummeriert sind und den Elektroden- kontakten 1 bis 12 entsprechen, wenn die Elektrode und das Kabel korrekt miteinander verbunden sind (siehe Abschnitt 2).

    Italiano PROCEDURA CONSIGLIATA L’innesto degli elettrodi di profondità può essere eseguito tramite numerose tecniche chirurgiche. Si raccomanda al chirurgo di utilizzare una tecnica chirurgica conforme alla propria prassi standard. Inserimento dei pin dei cavi per connettori in un monitor EEG I cavi per connettori dispongono di un numero massimo di 12 pin per connettori, placcati in oro e numerati da 1 a 12, che corrispondono ai contatti degli elettrodi da 1 a 12 quando l’elettrodo e il cavo sono accoppiati correttamente (vedi Paragrafi 2).
