10. Maintenance
Carefully position the head to the side of the motor as shown in Fig 10.6.
The brushes are housed on opposing sides of the motor as shown in Fig
10.7. Always replace both brushes together to ensure optimum motor
performance.
Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the 2 screws that hold each brush to the
motor as shown in Fig 10.8, carefully remove the wire connectors from the
rear of the brushes and remove the brushes.
Replace with new brushes, Fig 10.9, and re-assemble the motor to the
housing and extractor head.
