Always wear suitable personal protective equipment when
using woodworking machinery and dust extractors.
The CamVac series of dust extractors are designed for collecting

wood dust and general workshop cleaning. Use caution if
collecting sharp objects as they may damage the filters.
The extractors are also suitable for collecting a wider range of
waste materials - Please check with your local stockist or call
Record Power for full advice.
Never use the extractor to collect wet waste.
Ensure that the extractor is connected securely to the waste producing
machine.
Turn the machine on using the switch on the lid of the extractor as shown
in Fig 9.1.
If the machine has multiple motors any number can be turned on depending
on the level of suction required.
The extractors can be used to clean waste material from the floor of the
working area. It is highly recommended to use a collection kit for this task
but if the 4" / 100 mm or 2 1/2" / 63 mm hose is used always ensure that it
is held at an angle as shown in Fig 9.2. If the hose comes into full contact
with the floor as shown in Fig 9.3 the machine may be pulled towards the
operator.
Important: The machine must be turned off for 15 minutes after
a maximum of 2 hours continuous use to avoid overheating the
motor. Failure to comply will invalidate the warranty.

Restarting of All Machines
In the Event of a Blockage
If a blockage in the collection hose of the machine occurs, switch it off
immediately by pressing the power switch to the off position and wait for
the machine to come to a complete stop before proceeding further.
Unplug the machine from the power source and remove the blockage from
the collection hose. To re-start the machine press the power switch to the
on position.
In the Event of a Power Failure
In the event of a power failure, first turn the power switch to the off
position and then locate and rectify the source of the failure. If the fault is
within the power circuit of the workshop, there may be an underlying cause
(circuit overload etc.) that should be investigated by a qualified electrician,
before attempting to restore the power source.
Once the power is restored, the machine can be re-started by pressing the
switch to the on position.
