7. Assembly
Attaching the 2 1/2" / 63 mm Diameter Hose to the CGV486-6 Dust
Extractor Inlet
To attach the 2 1/2" / 63 mm diameter hose, the optional 40025 4" / 100
mm to 2 1/2" / 63 mm reducer must be fitted to the 4" / 100 mm inlet and
the hose fitted to the reducer as shown in Fig 7.16.
Using the Motor Exhaust
Each motor of the dust extractor features a motor exhaust as shown in Fig
7.17. This reduces the noise level of the machine during operation.
For even greater noise reduction the optional 2 1/2" / 63 mm hose can be
fitted as shown in Fig 7.18 by removing the cover of the motor exhaust and
placing the hose inside.
Placing the end of the hose through an outlet such as a window to a separate
area will direct the remaining noise outside of the working area.

Connecting the Hose to the Dust Extraction Outlet of the
Woodworking Machine
Many woodworking machines feature 4" / 100 mm outlets to allow the 4"
/ 100 mm hose to be connected directly to the machine. For outlets of other
