Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ The device is designed to be used to blend, stir, purée and chop up different types of food,
such as fruit or vegetables.
❐ This device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
❐ This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers
resulting from this. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance may
not be performed by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
❐ Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device, the
mains cable and the plug.
❐ Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
❐ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.

Danger of Injury

❐ Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
❐ CAUTION! The blades are sharp! Be careful when handling the blade attachment in or-
der to prevent any cut injuries.
❐ The device should not be used if it is damaged.
❐ The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children and animals. The
mains cable must also be kept out of their reach. Otherwise they might use the cable to
pull the device down on themselves.

For Your Health

❐ There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects to your
health, clean it thoroughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
❐ Clean the device after each use to prevent germ formation (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter). Do not allow any food residues to dry on.
❐ It is essential that you store any prepared drinks in the fridge. Do not consume any drinks/
food that have gone off and only use fresh ingredients that have not yet passed the best-
before date.

Danger of Electric Shock and Fire

❐ Only connect the device to a socket that is properly installed and matches the technical
data of the device (see the "Technical Data" chapter).
❐ Position the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Remove the mains plug from the plug socket:
– before you attach / detach the shaker,
– when the device is not in use,
– before a thunderstorm or
– before you clean the device.
