9.2.2 Flame baffle plate

At delivery, the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2, fig. 4 and 6) is located in the top of the appliance. During
maintenance of the appliance, the flame baffle plate should be removed.
Proceed as follows:
Ø
Take hold of the flame baffle plate and push the right side upwards.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate over the ridge to the right.
Ø
Lower the left side of the flame baffle plate and remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads facing upwards (see appendix 2, fig. 6).

9.3 Door

During installation or maintenance, check whether the door closes. Proceed as follows:
Ø
Check the seal of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door, it
should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper. Check the door all around.
If there is no good seal of the door:
Ø
Remove the door seal (see section 9.3.1).
Ø
Adjust the door (see section 9.3.2).

9.3.1 Replacing the door seal

For replacing the door seal, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 7):
Ø
Open the door.
Ø
Slide the door upwards and lift it out.
Ø
Place the door on a flat surface.
Ø
Unscrew the nuts from the frame.
Use penetrating oil to loosen the nuts.

Ø
Remove the frame and the strip.
Ø
Place the new strip.
Ø
Tape both ends of the strip together with heat-resistant tape. The strip and tape are available via your supplier.
Make sure the ends of the strip are placed at the bottom side.

Check the pane seal before placing back the frame and replace the pane seal if necessary.

Ø
Place back the frame.
Ø
Re-tighten the nuts in the frame.
Do not overtighten the nuts, the thread and/or the glass pane could get damaged.

Hang in the door.

9.3.2 Adjusting the door

During installation or maintenance, check whether the door closes. If desired, it is possible to adjust the door. This
is the case, if the seal is insufficient (cracks).
Ø
Check the seal of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door, it
should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper. Check the door all around.
When adjusting the door, proceed as follows:
Ø
At the bottom of the appliance there is a strip with a little hollow shaft that can be adjusted. Loosen the 2 bolts at
the bottom side of the appliance by a few turns (see appendix 2, fig. 8).
Do not fully remove these bolts!

Ø
Adjust the strip to achieve a proper door seal.
Ø
Re-tighten the 2 bolts.
Ø
Check whether the door now seals well, using the test with a sheet of paper described above.
Ø
Repeat the above-mentioned steps until the door seals well.
