The lifting pole has not to be used to lift persons but to facilitate transfer from the supine to the seated
position or to alter the position. The maximum permissible load is 80 kg and the maximum permissible lateral
load is 35 kg.
Do not use the side rails to lift yourself up or to carry out other movements. They are not suitable for this
purpose.
Check that the bed is in the lowest position and that the side rails are fixed in the upraised position when the
patient is sleeping and/or not being monitored.
If the side rails are in the highest position, check once again that they are correctly fixed
into position.
The size of the used mattress has to be 200 x 90 cm and the height of mattress must not exceed the
maximum height authorised for the type of side rail used (5. Technical specifications).
The following checks must always be carried out before the bed is used and at least once a day in order to
avoid any risk to the patient :
• Are the side rails free from any visible signs of damage or deformity ?
• Are the side rails fixed together correctly, even when slight pressure is exerted ?
• Are the cables, especially the spiral cable on the mains plug, free of any visible damage ?
Regularly check the following points, at least once a week:
• Are the distances between the tubes or plates of the side rails always correct ? (see 8.3)
• Do all the fixing systems freely function ?
• Are all the parts free of damage, tears or visible deformities ?
Always monitor the patient's physical and mental state in order to avoid placing him/her in danger, trapping
himself/herself or wounding himself/herself in another way.
Do not use electro medical devices on this care bed.
Send any complaints to the Thuasne customer service department. Please inform us of any incident
occurring with the bed.
Please do not hesitate to contact Thuasne should you require a list of spare parts and useful technical
information.
Please give all parts of the bed to the proper disposal. Especially the electrical parts and the battery of the
main drive. We take back all the electrical parts for correct disposal.
This symbol means that the bed is intended for indoor use only.
IPX4 This symbol means that the product is protected against water splashes.
This is the symbol indicating the protection class, here type B, which means that
the mains unit is fitted with a primary cut-out mechanism.
The maximum permissible load is 170 kg.
