interlocking the two, ensure that
the nose (10a) of the hexagonal
aluminium pipe fits into the nut
(7a) at the end of the arm (see

Fitting the saw chain and
blade
Turn off the appliance and, before
doing any servicing, remove the
battery.
1. Loosen the mounting screw (5)
and remove the chain wheel
cover (6) (see small image).
2. Spread out the sawing chain (1)
in a loop in a way that the an-
gled cutting edges of the chain
links are aligned clockwise.
3. Place the sawing chain (1) into
the blade groove.
4. Turn the chain tensioner ring
(3) on the sprocket cover (6) in
an anticlockwise direction until
the two markings point towards
each other.
5. Place the blade (2) on the rail
bolts (27) so that the tensioning
screw (30) is pointing outward.
6. To install, hold the blade (2)
tilted at an angle of approx. 45
degrees upward, and guide the
saw chain (1) around the chain
wheel (29). It is normal for the
saw chain (1) to sag.
7. Place the sprocket cover (6) into
position. First, the lug on the
cover has to be inserted into the
notch provided on the device.
Tighten the mounting screw (5)
only by hand, as the device still
has to be tightened.

Tensioning the saw chain

Turn off the appliance and, before
doing any servicing, remove the
battery.
.
The tension of saw chain (1) is important
both for your safety and for the function of
the cordless pruner. A correctly tensioned
saw chain will increase the lifetime of your
equipment.
Check the chain tension before
each use of the cordless pruner.
Saw chain (1) is correctly tensioned
if it can be pulled around blade 2 by
hand (wearing gloves) without sag-
ging.
When the saw chain is tensioned with
9 N (approx. 1 kg), the gap between
the saw chain and the guide rail may
not be more than 2 mm.
1
Loosen the mounting screw (
2
Hold the tip of the blade tightly. To
tighten the saw, turn the chain tensi-
oner ring (3) in the clockwise direc-
tion. To loosen the tension, turn the
chain tensioner ring in an anticlock-
wise direction.
3
Tighten the mounting screw (5).
The chain tension in new saw
chains (1) must be readjusted after
a short operating period.

Chain lubrication

Always switch off the device and
allow the motor to cool before
filling with chain oil. There is a
risk of fire if chain oil overflows.
