Start-up of the Device / Introduction

• Select a suitable location for the device, such as a dry,
flat, non-slip surface on which it is easy to operate the
machine.
• Ensure that the device is sufficiently ventilated!
• Sensitive surfaces, such as the display, might be protected
with films. Remove such films.
Power Supply
1. Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on
the model identification plate.
2. Connect the power cable supplied (see battery compart-
ment if necessary) to a properly installed safety power
socket and the mains connector AC ~ on the back of the
machine.
Battery Operation (not supplied)
1. Open the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom.
2. Insert 6 batteries of type C / R 14 1.5 V. Please ensure that
the polarity is correct (see the floor of the battery com-
partment)!
3. Then close the battery lid.

NOTE:
When a mains cable is connected the batteries are auto-
matically switched off.
CAUTION:
• Batteries can leak battery acid. If the device is out of use
for a long period of time, remove the batteries.
• Different battery types or new and used batteries must
not be used together.
• Batteries are not to be disposed of together with
domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the
relevant collection bin or at your dealer' s .
WARNING:
The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such
as sunshine, fire or the like. Danger of explosion!
Turning Device on / off
• Press the / FUNC. button to turn on the device.
• To turn off the device, press the / FUNC. button for
approx. 3 seconds. The control lamp STANDBY lights up
red. Then disconnect the mains plug.
NOTE:
After approx. 15 minutes without signal or with very poor
signal, the device will automatically switch to standby.
Volume
You can adjust the volume with the buttons
Select the Operating Mode
Press the / FUNC. button repeatedly to select the desired
operating mode. The device switches from FM mode to AUX
mode, to CD mode, and to USB mode.

Listening to the Radio

1. Use the / FUNC. button to switch the device to FM
mode.
2. Completely extend the telescopic antenna. Change its
position to improve the reception.
3. You can search for stations in two ways:
Automatic Station Search
Important! Previously stored radio stations will be re-
placed by new stations.
Press the
/ –10 / M.– button for app. 3 seconds. The
stations are stored in ascending order of frequency.
Manual Station Selection
Use the TUN.+ / FOLD.+ /
tune to the desired station.
