In connection with the diameter of the drain pipe, you should also consider the following:
- The diameter of the flue pipe must not be reduced. In addition, the flue pipe must fit perfectly on the
chimney.
- If the chimney draught is too great, a draught regulator must be installed.
- The stove pipe must not be larger than the diameter of the chimney; this prevents the upward pressure
of the flue gases.
- The chimney must not be feeding false air. Pay attention to closed chimney slides and cleaning openings
in the cellar or on the roof!
- The waste gas pipe must be securely attached to the connecting pipe.
- The safety distances from flammable objects must be observed.
Determination of the total chimney draught
The required total pressure of the stove is the sum of all individual pressures. All individual values must
be achieved. The total supply pressure must be determined separately for each stove, depending on the
subject of the system.
The following individual values must be achieved in any case:
Supply pressure for combustion air
The minimum supply pressure for
the stove
The maximum permissible chimney
draught of the stove
The chimney for the exhaust pipe

with combustion air supply from external pipework
(strongly recommended):
- the required supply pressure for the external air supply
(combustion air pipe) is determined on the basis of
corresponding design tables or in accordance with DIN EN
13384
- with combustion air supply from the installation room
(room air system) or building: at least 4 Pa according to DIN
EN 13384
12 Pa for the Cross at nominal heating output
22 Pa for the Cross at nominal heating output
Value by equivalent calculation according to DIN EN 13384
