The machine is intended for dry sanding of wood, plas-
tic, metal and filler material as well as painted surfaces.

polishing.
For Your Safety
Working safely with this machine is
possible only when the operating
and safety information are read
completely and the instructions con-
tained therein are strictly followed.
In addition, the general safety notes
in the enclosed booklet must be ob-
served.
If the cable is damaged or cut through while work-
I
ing, do not touch the cable but immediately pull the
mains plug. Never use the machine with a dam-
aged cable.
Connect machines that are used outdoors by
I
means of a fault current protection switch (FI) with a
maximum triggering current of 30 mA. Use only an
extension cable that is approved for outdoor use.
Wear safety glasses.
I
Safety gloves are recommended.
I
Always direct the cable to the rear away from the
I
machine.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped
I
with clamping devices or in a vice is held more se-
cure than by hand.
The machine can be used only for dry sanding.
I
Working with material containing asbestos is not
I
permitted.
Always hold the machine firmly when working and
I
provide for a secure stance.
When sanding metal, flying sparks are produced.
I
Take care that no persons are endangered. Be-
cause of the danger of fire, no combustible materials
should be located in the vicinity (spark flying zone).
If your tool is equipped with a dust bag, empty it
I
frequently and after completion of sanding. Be
extremely careful of dust disposal, materials in fine
particle form may be explosive. Do not throw sand-
ing dust on an open fire. Spontaneous combustion
may in time, result from mixture of oil or water with
dust particles.
Always switch the machine off and wait until it has
I
come to a standstill before placing it down.
Never allow children to use the machine.
I
Bosch is able to ensure flawless functioning of the
I
machine only if the original accessories intended
for it are used.
