15 Test plug
General
The test plug is a tool for the service points and authorized technical staff
dealing with maintenance and repair of Spheros heating devices. It does
not remain permanently at the heater.
Application
The test plug is used only for series Thermo S water heaters.
It shall be applied in conjunction with the SPHEROS Thermo Test diag-
nosis during component test, including fuel pump pressure test.
Heaters as from 12/2012:
For component tests first remove the hood, unplug the temperature
sensor connector and plug the test plug into this port (see Fig. 19).
Heaters until 12/2012:
Connect the test plug during the component tests instead of the tempe-
rature sensor to the adapter wiring harness (ID No. 2710251_)(see Fig.
20).
Reinstall hood correctly prior to starting. The application is explained
within the component test procedure.
The test plug is to be protected against moisture and wetness (at
11111723A reinstall the protective cap after use of the plug).
