13 .3 operation modes
13.3.1 Perfect Binding Mode (On - line)
Covers are printed and manually loaded into the BB
printed sheet by sheet and compiled in compiling section, then transferred to BB
and finally bound in BB
Book blocks consist of individual cut sheet or signatures. If signatures are used milling depth
must be adapted.
13.3.2 Perfect Binding Mode (Near - line)
Covers are printed and manually loaded into the BB
printed sheet by sheet and stacked on a stacker's cart. Cart with stack is put in BSF feeder,
feeding sets sheet by sheet, to the compiling section, then transferred to BB

BBC). If signatures are used milling depth must be adapted.

13.3.3 Stacking/Compiling mode
When in On-line or Near line mode, compiler receives sheets coming from printer/feeder.

toN simplex, sheets are sent face down to the compiler, then transferred to clamp
with trail edge becoming book spine (glued side)
If desired, Flipper can be activated, so sheet lead edge becomes trail edge.
If device before BBC is cutting (long) sheets in
sheet will allow to have the white (unprinted) edge of the sheet on the lead edge for both sub
sheets.
When used in EVA configuration, BB
13.3.4 Padding Mode - (Not available in PUR version)
Padding mode is not available with the BB
Note: Padding mode usage in on-line / near line modes may affect productivity and may
require specific DFA profile, due to longer curing time.
