Light test

With AIBO in the game choice
standby mode, press
or the pad sensor on the right
front-leg.
AIBO is set to the
light test mode
and waits with its
right front-leg
lowered.

Show AIBO the color cards.
Hold each supplied color card
straight up against the floor and take
it about half a foot (15 cm) in front of
AIBO's face (color camera).
If AIBO senses the color correctly, its
eye lights light up as illustrated.

Note
If AIBO does not respond to the color
cards, repeat the test in a brighter place.
Sound test

hind-leg.

sound test mode
and waits with its
right hind-leg
lowered.

Send out a sound.
Set the command type switch on the
controller to "L" (when AIBO is set
to command type A) or "H" (for
command type B), then play the
following notes to AIBO and check
AIBO's response.
