Insert the battery in the direction of the
arrow until it clicks into place.

Close the rear cover and place AIBO on
the floor as shown on the right.
Place it on a flat, non-slippery surface, such as a
carpet with a short nap. And choose a quiet place
so that AIBO can hear the sound controller.
Note
Be sure to place AIBO on the floor as illustrated. This will prevent AIBO from moving
unexpectedly and being damaged when you press and release the pause button.

Press the pause button on AIBO's chest.
AIBO flashes its green eye lights and wags its
head and tail while the software is being loaded
from the "Memory Stick."
When the software has been loaded, AIBO will
stretch its legs, then assume the game choice
standby posture and turn on its green eye lights.
