5.4. Perform function test
1. Rinse pipe
2. Close valve (clockwise).
Only a gentle turning is needed to close the valve.
Tightening with too much force does not improve
the sealing, but can rather cause a malfunction.
The water in the pipe must drain out.
3. Open water supply and check the valve for leaks and
function.
After closing the valve, a small amount of water conti-
nues to flow, because the valve empties by itself.
Remove hoses and screw connections before the
frost period.

The valve insert can be cleaned if needed.
To clean the seal elements, do not use solvent or
cleaning agents that contain alcohol as these can
lead to water damage!
Detergents must not be allowed to enter the environ-
ment or the sewerage system!

1. Close the shut-off valve ahead of frost-resistant outer
valve.
The valve is open when the valve insert is removed!
2. Pull off handle.
3. Unscrew spindle housing (size 22) from the drain housing
and remove, including valve insert
4. Clean or replace valve insert
Do not disassemble the valve insert into individual
parts!
5. Insert valve insert with mounted spindle housing into pipe
and screw into drain housing (size 22).
6. Put on the handle.

7. Disposal

• Valve housing made of brass
• Outside handwheel made of brass, chrome-plated
• Copper pipes to DIN EN 1057
• Handwheel made of ABS plastic, chrome-plated
• Hose connector made of brass, chrome plated
• Seals in EPDM
Observe the local requirements regarding correct waste
recycling/disposal!
Remedy
Remove valve insert and clean or replace
Install filter before valve in the pipe line
Remove valve insert and clean or replace
