ManSafe SRL Pre-use checks
Latchways ManSafe SRLs are designed to be easy to operate and maintain, requiring
minimal maintenance and simple pre-use checks. For further information contact
customerservices@latchways.com.
Operation and use: Attach the ManSafe SRL overhead to an anchor point* then complete the
Pre-use checks.
Pre-use check by the User:
Pull gently on lifeline - listen for audible

clicking.
Pull sharply on lifeline - check device

locks.
Operate connector:
Check correct operation.

Check for signs of damage/deterioration.
4 Check load indicator is not deployed.
Note:
If a problem is identified, the ManSafe SRL shall be immediately withdrawn from use
and cannot be returned to use until examined and recertified by a Technician. Examination,
repair and recertification instructions are detailed in a separate document.
*Exception: The 2 m (7ft) and 2.5 m (8ft) Webbing SRLs are the only SRLs that can be attached to the anchor point
with either the attachment point or the hook
